Abstract Kab is a new mobile gallery and performance space by Division of Labour, crafted by artists Yelena Popova and Gavin Wade. The exterior of Abstract Kab is a new livery design by Popova inspired by Russian constructivist El Lissitzky's Abstract Cabinet 1926-28, and nourished by the artist's spiritual connection to Lyubov Popova (1889-1924). The interior is made by Wade after both Lissitzky's slatted walls and his experiments with Frederick Kiesler's L and T-Type Display Units 1924 over the last 20 years.
